About the farm

Nestled in the transition zone of UNESCO’s Gran Pajatén Biosphere Reserve, between the foothills of the Andes and the Amazon basin, thirty Choba Choba farming families cultivate the Huayabamba blend beans. They carry with them the responsibility and commitment to ensure ecologically sustainable cocoa production in a region that is both a natural and cultural treasure to be protected.

About the Partnership

Choba Choba is a chocolate company co-owned by the very farmers who grow the beans along the Huayabamba River in Peru. Tired of the destructive realities of the cocoa industry, they created their own brand to gain more control and deliver real economic, social, and environmental impact on the ground. Today, Choba Choba stands for farmer ownership, direct trade, and a deep connection to the land and its people.
